One of the biggest complaints is that little effort is done to improve these yearly releases in an effort to make as much money as possible by doing the bare minimum. In spite of the massive popularity and revenue that EA Sports titles generate, there is a sizable part of the player base that takes issues with how the games are developed. EA seems to have taken steps to avoid a repeat of this disaster, but it is still fresh enough in player's minds where it may impact how forgiving they are this time around. The release of Madden 21 was so tumultuous that a large portion of the player base demanded EA drop to property altogether. While this issue is not present across all forms of the early access trial, it does not bode well for Madden 22 especially after the bug-filled launch of its predecessor.
